How do I care for my wall art?

We recommend dusting your canvas or poster with a damp cloth and wiping dry. Only use a dry cloth for unframed posters. Although we use UV-resistant inks, your print can still fade if left directly in sunlight for long periods of time. We do not recommend hanging your artwork outdoors.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes! We ship worldwide. Feel confident in knowing your artwork is handled with care and precision, ensuring a seamless worldwide delivery experience no matter where you are.

  • Fast Delivery: Most orders arrive within 4-6 business days. Every print is made to order. Large canvases (30" x 40" and above) may take 4-14 business days if ordered outside of the U.S.
  • Free Shipping: All orders above $59 USD qualify for free shipping.
  • Real-Time Tracking: An email with a tracking number will be sent as soon as your wall art is shipped.

Where are your products made and do I have to pay tariffs?

Because of our extensive customization options and personalized styles, every single canvas/poster print we produce is made to order. To achieve our record shipping times and lower shipping fees (often free for you), we have multiple global production hubs in over 20 countries including throughout North America, Europe, and Australia (see full list below). Although you are responsible for paying your country's tariffs, it is unlikely that you will because in most cases, prints are fulfilled in the same country that they are ordered from.

While we strive for local production wherever possible, some orders may be produced in a different country based on stock availability, capacity, or logistics.

Canvases (framed and unframed) sized 30" x 40" and above are made only in the United States. Customers outside of the U.S. that order canvases this size and above are responsible for paying customs, duties, taxes, tariffs, or VAT upon product arrival in their country.

How do you prioritize sustainability and reduce your environmental impact?

As an environmentally conscious company, we use FSC-certified or equivalent sustainable materials across our products. Our posters are printed on responsibly sourced paper, and our frames are crafted from durable poplar or pine wood, all meeting FSC, EU, or APCA certification standards. This ensures that every piece of wall art is not only beautiful but also aligned with ethical and eco-friendly practices.

We also prioritize sustainability in our packaging by using recycled materials whenever possible. This includes corrugated boxes, corner protectors, and protective sleeves—designed to minimize waste without compromising protection.

In addition to using sustainable materials and packaging, we’re proud to support global reforestation efforts through our partnership with One Tree Planted. For every poster or canvas purchased, we plant one tree in regions where it’s needed most—from restoring forests after wildfires to rebuilding natural habitats. This initiative helps offset carbon emissions, support biodiversity, and create lasting environmental impact. It’s a simple yet powerful way for every purchase to contribute to a greener future.

How do I choose between canvases and posters?

It all comes down to your personal style and how you envision the artwork fitting into your space.

Canvas prints offer a bold, dimensional look thanks to their depth—available in thin (0.75") or thick (1.5") formats. The thicker edge gives a more substantial, gallery-like presence on your wall. You can also elevate the look further with a floating frame, which adds subtle separation between the canvas and the frame for a modern, refined touch. Most framed canvases come with the choice to add a white border around the image, giving the artwork room to breathe and adding visual contrast.

Framed posters, on the other hand, provide a sleeker, more polished look. They sit flatter against the wall and have a clean-lined aesthetic that works well in both minimalist and contemporary interiors. Most posters, whether framed or unframed, also have the choice to include a white matte border printed directly onto the paper, offering a classic finish that draws the eye to the artwork.

What is your return & refund policy? 

We truly care about your satisfaction and want every print to arrive in perfect condition. Because each piece is made to order, we carefully review all return requests on a case-by-case basis.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. Please note that submitting a request does not guarantee approval. Each request is carefully reviewed, and only items that arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect will typically qualify for return or replacement.

If your return request is accepted, a return shipping fee of $9.99 USD per item will apply. This fee will be deducted from your refund. Please note that we do not accept returns for personalized wall art or custom items.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it — unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To request a return, contact us at hello@modernowallart.com. Returns must be sent to the address provided by our team — items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.

If your request is approved, we’ll send you a pre-paid return shipping label and detailed instructions on how and where to send your package.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. In cases of shipping damage, we will assist with replacement or refund based on carrier responsibility.


Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as:

  • Perishable goods (food, flowers, or plants)

  • Custom or personalized wall art

  • Personal care goods (such as beauty products)

  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases

We also do not accept returns for items based on change of mind, size preference, or personal taste once the order is printed and shipped. Please contact us if you have questions about your specific item before purchasing.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to request a return for your existing item (subject to approval). Once accepted, you may place a new order for your preferred item. Please note that a $9.99 USD fee per item applies to exchanges, just as with returns.


European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
If your order is shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification. Your item must be in the same condition that you received it — unused, with tags, and in its original packaging — and accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase. This policy does not apply to personalized or custom items.


Refunds
We’ll notify you once we’ve received and inspected your returned item and will confirm whether the refund has been approved or denied. If approved, you’ll be refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund.
